Friday January 3, 2025, early in the afternoon, a fire broke out in a building housing a carpentry, a landscaping company, as well as two apartments. The firefighters were able to contain the fire. Several residents left the area and found somewhere to find new accommodation. This fire left two firefighters lightly injured. The Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed and an investigation was opened by the duty prosecutor.
Friday January 3, 2025, around 12:30 p.m., the Central Vaudoise Police (CVP) was informed of the fire in a building in the locality of Les Moulins, in the commune of Château-d’Oex.
Emergency services were able to intervene quickly and the fire was brought under control during the afternoon. Building consolidation operations were completed at the end of the day. The residents were able to leave the scene and two firefighters were slightly injured during the intervention. The causes of the incident are currently unknown.
-The Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed and an investigation was opened by the duty prosecutor. The latter entrusted the investigations to the gendarmerie, with the support of the scientific police brigade.
This fire required the commitment of 47 firefighters from the SDIS Riviera, Pays d’Enhaut, Chablais, Lausanne-Epalinges, operational health support (SSO), the ECA fire and rescue duty inspector (IPDIS), subsequently supported by the CR of Bulle, a CSU-CAVD ambulance from Château-d’Oex, a CSU-CAVD ambulance from Aigle, 2 patrols from the gendarmerie and the scientific police brigade for the technical report.
