Heavy rains in recent hours have caused flooding in Tahiti. Internet users obviously post videos to show the extent of the phenomenon.

A Strandedthe management of the LS Proxy store informs that the severe weather “have caused a flood within our store, we are unfortunately forced to temporarily close our doors in order to guarantee your safety as well as that of our team. We are doing everything we can to restore the situation as soon as possible. The reopening will take place as soon as conditions allow for optimal reception.
At 9 a.m., Météo France noted heavy rainfall in 24 hours, mainly in the urban area of Tahiti:
193 L/m² in Punaauia
197 L/m² in Pamatai and Papeete La Mission district
125 L/m² in Pirae
112 L/m² at Tahara’a
On the rest of Tahiti and Mooreathe accumulations range between 20 and 70 L/m².
The vigilance orange for heavy rain is maintained for the Company. Indeed, despite slight calms, the showers will resume and even intensify at the end of the day across the entire archipelago. These heavy rains will also affect the Leeward Islands which were spared yesterday.
