As revealed this Friday by RMC Sport, RC Lens is blocking the transfer of Brice Samba to Rennes, although the two clubs had reached an agreement in principle. Stade Rennais is hanging on and still hoping for a resolution of the case in its favor but the matter looks very complicated.
Stade Rennais only wants him and still believes in it. While Rennes and Lens had reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Brice Samba this winter, the northern club decided to cancel the operation and retain its goalkeeper, as revealed by RMC Sport this Friday, January 3.
Rennes only wants him
The Breton leaders, who want to recruit a new goalkeeper during this transfer window, still hope to succeed in bringing in Brice Samba. The French international is also the only avenue considered by the club. But the file looks very complicated. RC Lens, which for a time considered bringing in Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Jean Butez before giving up, appears inflexible for the moment.
Within the Lens locker room, however, we have no illusions: Brice Samba's teammates are convinced that the goalkeeper will end up leaving for Rennes this winter.
