The Canadian will return to action this evening against Chicago. Will Montreal be able to sign a sixth victory in seven games since the arrival of Alexandre Carrier (and the departure of Justin Barron)?

Will they be able to continue their resurrection even if the holiday season is now a thing of the past?

Will Patrik Laine, Alex Newhook and Kirby Dach be able to showcase their raw talent again?

We’ll see… but three games in four evenings in Chicago, Denver and Montreal, it won’t be easy for the CH players.

And the Rocket?
The Rocket will also take charge again this evening, when they will receive a visit from the Abbotsford Canucks in .

This will be the Rocket’s first game since Cayden Primeau’s demotion. And Pascal Vincent decided that he was not going to try to play negatively in the head of the fragile goalkeeper as Dave Cameron probably would have done if he were the coach of the school club Habs.

This will be Primeau’s first start in the AHL since April 2023.

Anthony Marcotte even reports that there is a possibility of seeing Primeau also face these same Canucks tomorrow night, in the second game in as many evenings between the two teams.

It must be said that Primeau has had success in Laval in the past and seems to have arrived at Place Bell in good spirits.

And the Rocket definitely needs points in the standings; a goalie with NHL experience can’t hurt! When you’re paid over $1 million to tend the bases in the American League, you’re expected to stand up in a game like today.

The Rocket lost their last two games and slipped to fourth place in the American League North division. However, he was well installed at the top of it just a few weeks ago…

Note that Brandon Gignac and Florian Xhekaj, both injured, will not be in uniform against the Canucks. Riley Kidney will simply be left behind.
