The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) is investigating two arson attacks involving two vehicles that occurred this Friday in the Ville-Marie borough and the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough.
In both cases, witnesses report a suspect seen at the scene of the fires, but no arrests have been announced at this time.
Around 2:30 a.m., a vehicle was engulfed in flames while it was in a parking lot located on Rue Lspérance, near Rue Ontario, in the Ville-Marie borough.
The fire was brought under control quickly and caused no injuries, but the vehicle was a total loss. .
A suspect was observed near the vehicle when the fire broke out, and he fled before the police arrived.

Later around 7 a.m. in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough, the police were called to reports of a fire starting in a vehicle parked on 20th avenue, not far from Villeray street.
Here too, the firefighters quickly brought the vehicle fire under control, which was considered a total loss
