Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, seeded n°1, reached the semi-final of the WTA 500 in Brisbane, winning two sets to zero (6-3, 6-4) against Marie Bouzkova.
The world number one is well into her season. After her great performance against Renata Zarazua and Yulia Putintseva, she gained further momentum this Friday morning. She was notably very solid on her first serves with a total of 80% of points won.
Aryna Sabalenka will face No. 8 seed Mirra Andreeva of Russia in the semi-finals of the Queensland tournament. This will be their fourth confrontation, the first on hard. The young Russian won during their last clash at Roland-Garros in 2024. Already a shock at the start of the season.
