Still the great mystery
At the end of November, the Italian Federation spoke of slight back problems to justify the absence of Lisa Vittozzi, winner of the 2024 World Cup, in Kontiolahti.
Two weeks later, a new press release came out, this time speaking of a prolonged absence without giving further details. As a result Lisa Vittozzi also misses the Hochfilzen and Grand Bornand stages.
His fans were then banking on a return at the beginning of January, which is now no longer relevant.
“Lisa Vittozzi continues her path to recovery” wrote its Federation this morning in a press release. Here again no indication is given concerning the illness from which the Italian suffers.
Will she return to Ruhpolding the following week? in Antholz? at the worlds? Or will she simply miss the entire season? A hypothesis that we can no longer rule out.
And if Lisa Vittozzi returns to competition soon, it is difficult to imagine her at the level she was at last season. In the meantime, the mystery continues…
