This event, which will take place on Saturday January 25 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes, is an opportunity to discover the training courses and the seven families of professions offered by the Fédération des Compagnons du Tour de France (founded in 1952) ranging from the CAP to the Professional Title (TP). These seven families are as follows: framework (wooden construction), roofing-zincwork, masonry, carpentry, metalwork, painting and plumbing-heating-air conditioning.
Through workshops practices, exchanges with Companions, trainers and students, visitors will be able to explore the perspectives offered by these professions.

For some, this open day can indeed constitute a decisive moment in their career. It will be able to allow young people in search of a vocation, to adults in retraining or job seekers to find support and a course adapted to their expectations and their level.
-The Compagnons du Tour de France center in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes has 300 apprentices and offers 21 diploma courses. The exam success rate (level 3) is 87%. After a first diploma, it is possible to engage in the Tour de Francea unique training course combining professional expertise and personal enrichment.
Ce traveling trip lasts four to eight years and passes through a city each year. During this journey, each Companion creates his own masterpiece by learning his trade according to the rules of the art. The student thus enriches his know-how serving contemporary projects or restoration of built heritage.
