The Erasmus + program (European funds) supports diverse projects and audiences and not just colorful students as in Cédric Klapisch’s anthological comedy, “L’AubergeEspagne”. The Eaunoise association so aptly titled Aqu’art Elles, thanks to Georges, the only watercolorist in the predominantly female group, is benefiting for the third time, after Bruges and Figueras, from a training stay in a European city thanks to the Erasmus + program .
Perfecting watercolors in Venice, a city with 177 canals often drowned under the waves, is almost a pleonasm. Madeleine Duclos, who initiated the creation of the Aqu’art Elles association, is delighted to bring her fifteen watercolorists to the shores of the Adriatic Sea, in the heart of the serene city, center of major culture from the 13th to the 17th century which saw the birth of the Venetian School with Tintoretto, Titian and Veronese and in the musical field, the sublime Antonio Vivaldi.
An upcoming exhibition will allow you to discover the new productions of the talented watercolorists of Aqu’art Elles whose pictorial practice has been enriched by the advice of Venetian artists.
