Pamiers-Vernajoul XIII: the reservists win their first victory

Appamean rugby union continues its spectacular progression in the hierarchy of its sport. The Ariège team is now playing in the second division and is determined not to play the role of promoted sidekick. In his wake, the pack grew. Faced with the good health of rugby union in the city of three bell towers, the Wolves decided to form a second team, entered in the National division, where the story of their first team had begun.

End the year in style

Bringing together a heterogeneous squad, made up of veterans gathered among friends and promising elements from the Wolves rugby school, the Appamean players had not been unworthy during their first outings, but they had still not achieved the slightest victory so far. Facing Belvèze, one of the most affordable teams in the championship, Pamiers-Vernajoul seemed incapable of competing, losing largely in Ariège at the beginning of December (8-30). But the valor and spirit of resilience of the Wolves, far from being undermined, made it possible to reverse the trend. They finally took their revenge on the Audois, defeated on their home field during the last match before the winter break (14-26).

The second phase will take the Ariégeois to Tonneins, Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy, to the XIII Gascon as well as to Toulouse Jules-Julien, who will travel to Ariège on January 26. A second success to celebrate the new year?
