According to the British Columbia government, Jordan and Elijah Hill welcomed British Columbia’s first baby of 2025 with the birth of their boy Emerson two minutes after midnight on Wednesday in Kamloops.
Emerson was born in the hospital Royal Inlandin the interior of the province, and weighed 3.22 kg.
The newborn is Jordan’s first child and Elijah Hillsaid the Interior Health Authority.
The mother says her baby was due on January 3, but he showed up two days early.

From the Vancouver Island Health Authority, Zion Ebo Zormelo-Kika, a 3.64 kg boy, was the first baby of 2025. He was born at Victoria General Hospital at 12:07 a.m.
