Orange has just activated its 5th generation mobile network in the town of Conques-sur-Orbiel, located at Portes du Cabardès, the company indicates in a press release.
“Orange thus fulfills its role as a leading operator by best supporting the evolution of French consumption patterns, allowing them to benefit from the best possible network quality, including in rural areas such as Conques-sur-Orbiel”adds the company.
How to benefit from 5G?
In addition to better connectivity, reduced latency and almost instantaneous download speed, this deployment also makes it possible to maintain the quality of the 4G network, already in high demand, since 5G is not yet deployed everywhere in Aude. It is found in particular on a large part of the Aude coastline, Narbonne in particular, in Carcassonne, Limoux, Lézignan-Corbières, and Castelnaudary.
The transition to 5G is not automatic on all phones. You must have a mobile phone and a compatible plan. However, no change of SIM card is expected.
