Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy shared a post on his social media account for Ferdi Tayfur, who died this evening at the age of 79. Stating that he welcomed the passing of Ferdi Tayfur with deep sadness, Minister Ersoy said: “Our hearts are even more hurt. I learned with deep sadness that Ferdi Tayfur, owner of immortal works such as “I Yanar”, “Bana Sor” and “Your Memory is Enough”, has passed away. Our art world has lost a truly exceptional name today. The great master, who translated the feelings of millions of people into his works, will now live in our hearts; He will accompany us in our pains and our joys. May God have mercy on him, I offer my condolences to his family, his loved ones and our entire artistic community. “May he rest in peace,” he said.
