Three days before the first meeting of Angers Sco and Stade Brestois in 2025, the Maine-et-Loire prefecture announced that the security system was designed with “reinforced vigilance”. The event was in fact classified as “at risk” by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism, which notes each week the different matches planned in the territory.
300 ultras of SB29 expected, announces the prefecture
“Public order incidents that occurred during previous confrontations between the two teams” as well as “the announced presence of 300 ultra supporters from Stade Brestois” led the departmental body to put in place an order. Thus, this Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., people claiming to be supporters of Stade Brestois or behaving as such will be prohibited from appearing in the city center of Angers and around the Raymond-Kopa stadium.
Supporters of SB29 must also all sit in the visitor stands and will be prohibited from possessing, transporting and using firecrackers and smoke bombs, flags or banners calling for provocation, violence or hatred, and any object that could be used as a projectile. For those going to the stadium by public transport, the meeting point is at 1:15 p.m. at the Portes d’Angers Sud area of the A11 motorway, in order to be escorted by the police until ‘at the stadium.
