Liam Payne died last October at age 31. The One Direction singer did not fall while losing his balance but rather while trying to escape. The investigation is still ongoing.
New revelations continue to follow regarding the death of Liam Payne. The 31-year-old artist died after falling from the balcony of his CasaSur Palermo hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. According to a toxicology report obtained by ABC NewsLiam Payne had several drugs in his system at the time of his death. Last December 30, we learned thanks to Page Six that the psychiatrist who followed Liam Payne had indicated a few weeks before his death that “ after careful examination and evaluation “, he needed a ” higher level of care “. From now on, it is the fall of the balcony which is called into question. Indeed, according to information obtained by the media Rolling Stone the judge in charge of the investigation, Laura Bruniard, claims that the One Direction singer was trying to escape from his hotel.
Liam Payne therefore did not “ lost balance » while passing out before falling from his bedroom balcony as has been claimed so far, but he was trying to escape while under the influence of drugs. In a ruling obtained by Rolling Stone, the judge also updated the charges against five people interviewed in the case. His friend Roger Nores, Gilda Martin (hotel manager) and Esteban Grassi (reception manager) could be sentenced for their acts of “ recklessness and negligence » which led to the singer’s death. “ I don’t believe that [Roger Nores, Gilda Martin et Esteban Grassi] planned and wanted Liam Payne to die. They did not plan the outcome but created a risk », Wrote the judge. And for good reason, the artist had been “ train » to his hotel room, alone, while he was in a “ vulnerable state ».
