(UPDATE Thursday January 2 at 3:10 p.m.: the traffic lanes have just been cleared by emergency services and traffic has been able to resume in the Beaune direction towards Paris. The blockage formed by the accident is being resolved.)
It is strongly recommended not to take theA6 motorway this Thursday at the beginning of the afternoon in the direction Lyon towards Paris near Beaune, south of Dijon.
Traffic is interrupted in the direction of Paris shortly after exit 24 due to a accident involving several vehicles – at least five depending on Highway Info – occurred shortly before 2 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., the vehicles involved were still stopped in the middle of the traffic lanes and emergency services (firefighters, police, patrol officers) on site.
3km formation traffic jam
A traffic jam of several kilometers formed in the Beaune sector, upstream of the accident. Traffic is severely disrupted.
