The least we can say is that season 2 of Squid Game was not unanimous. First with director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who had no ambition to offer a sequel to his phenomenon series, but who finally changed his mind in the face of the international success of his project, and the big tickets brandished by Netflix. Then among the fans, many of whom found the conclusion of this second round of episodes particularly frustrating.
It must be said that Gi-hun’s situation is bad, not to say desperate. Player 456 tried to stop the game from the inside, but came up against the despair of the other participants, who are ready to do anything to pay off their debts and make a new start. If the director explains that the third season should only be a direct sequel to the second, but that it was ultimately entitled to additional division due to its length, several questions remain unanswered for the moment, and will need to be clarified. by the final conclusion of the series, scheduled before the end of the year.

Who is No-eul and what will happen to him?
At the start of the series, everything is done to present No-eul to us as the ideal candidate for the games. Broke, desperate and still looking for her missing child since fleeing North Korea, the young woman had the perfect profile to become a player, but we quickly understand that she is in fact a mercenary, who puts on her costume every night of soldier to eliminate the losers of the games.
This incursion into those who make the games is perhaps the most interesting dimension of this new burst of episodes. We understand that the young woman is not bloodthirsty, as was the Salesman from Squid Game in season 1, but on the contrary, she has promised to offer a the sweetest death possible for the losersnotably by shooting them in the chest rather than offering them as food to a doctor wishing to remove their organs while they are still between life and death.
-The death of player 256, whom she meets at the start of the season in the amusement park and whom she tries by all means to protect, could mark a decisive turning point in season 3. The revolt is not far away, and No-eul could use this umpteenth disappointment to ally himself with the players and bring down the Squid Games once and for all.
Why did Captain Park betray Jun-ho?
For three years, Gi-hun is not the only one to have put his life on hold to try to put an end to the games. After discovering that his brother was the former winner of Squid Game and current Front Man, Jun-ho also threw himself headlong into his research. He also surrounded himself with reliable people, starting with Captain Park, a fisherman who saved him from drowning after his attempted murder and who has since taken him under his wing to help him locate the mysterious island.
The last episodes, however, shed new light on the character’s motivations, which kills one of Jun-ho’s allies in the middle of the nightafter being caught tampering with the research drone. We then understand that Park is in cahoots with the organizers, and that he has voluntarily led the former police officer along for three years to guide him on false leads.
How will Front Man reveal his true face?
This is one of the twists and turns that we saw coming from miles away. It definitely doesn’t feel good to be known as player 001 in Squid Games, since this always ensures you’re a traitor conspiring from within. The Front Man’s participation in the games this year still remains shrouded in mystery, since if we understood the motivations of the character of Oh Il-nam quite well, that of 001 obviously only has the objective of bring Gi-hun closer, and undermine attempts at revolution that are brewing among the players.
This strange relationship between the two characters is far from having been fully developed. We end season 2 with Gi-hun convinced of the death of his friend 001, and the Front Man who makes a final appearance, to confront his sworn enemy behind his mask and coldly execute his friend Jung-bae. It remains to be seen whether player 456 will agree to return to the competition as if nothing had happened, or whether he will be considered too dangerous by the organizers.
