This series from Steven Knight, the creator of “Peaky Blinders”, is inspired by the history of the SAS for Special Air Service, a British parachute regiment created during the Second World War and renowned for its members with a reckless character. Since their leader, David Stirling, was taken prisoner of war, detained in Italy, it is the Irishman Paddy Mayne, the most unpredictable of these soldiers, who is in charge.
