Summer sales 2025: The dates
The 2025 summer sales will start on June 25, 2025 and end on Tuesday July 22, 2025 in most French cities. This will be the case in Paris.
These dates also apply to distance sales, particularly those made via the internet. In accordance with the provisions of the decree of May 27, 2019, the legal sales period is now 4 weeks.
Many French people want to go to the sales. According to an Ipsos/Logica Business Consulting survey for the CNCC, 94% of those questioned say they are mainly motivated by looking for a good deal (94%), and 66% want to treat themselves to products that they could not afford. to buy in normal times.
One in two buyers plan to go to the store during the first days of sales. In addition, many French people say they carry out scouting before the sales open: 50%. “This is the period when the best deals are made, because it is the only time during which traders can sell at a loss”explains Pierre-Marie Grau, general delegate of the French Women’s Ready-to-Wear Federation. Note that according to a Toluna survey for LSA, 57.8% of purchases will be made primarily in shopping centers.
