Winter promotions will officially begin on January 8 for a period of four weeks. However, certain variations await Lorraine and the DROM-COM.
Who says new year says good deals. Indeed, while some are busy preparing for New Year’s Eve, major brands are hard at work preparing for winter sales. The traditional winter promotions will begin on Wednesday January 8, 2025 in France for a period of four weeks, until Tuesday February 4, 2025 inclusive.
Lorraine will, however, get ahead of schedule. The first promotions will be visible from February 2 in the four departments of Lorraine (Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse and Vosges). The reason: the proximity of Luxembourg, whose winter sales begin in the first days of January and which would risk competing with local brands. The sales will also end earlier for Lorraine: Wednesday January 29, 2025, approximately a week before the rest of the French regions.

The overseas territories will also experience certain variations, with the exception of Guyana, Martinique and Mayotte, where the dates of winter promotions will be the same as in mainland France. The winter sales will take place from Saturday January 4 to Friday January 31 in Guadeloupe and from Wednesday January 22, 2025 to Tuesday February 18, 2025 in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. As for the islands of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, the calendar is adapted to the local seasons: the winter sales will be held from Saturday May 3 to Friday May 30, 2025. Same reasoning for the island of Reunion, located in the southern hemisphere. These are the summer sales which will start on Saturday February 1, and will last until February 28, just like in New Caledonia, where they will be held from February 22 to March 23. Finally, in Polynesia, the first sales period of the year will be held from Wednesday January 22 to Sunday February 9.
