Elon Musk accuses Biden of treason for selling materials to build a wall on the southern border with Mexico

American billionaire Elon Musk on Thursday accused outgoing President Joe Biden of treason for the sale of materials intended for the construction of a wall on the southern border with Mexico.

“100% treason,” Musk said on X, commenting on a post that accused the Biden administration of deliberately opening the border to migrants by selling construction materials and dismantling barbed wire fences along the border. The Daily Wire reported in December, citing U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials, that the Biden administration was selling wall panels at a government auction in an effort to thwart President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to to curb immigration before he takes office.

Bidding for each set of wall panels started at just $5. The president-elect filed a petition with a Texas court, which ruled to block the sale. Strengthening border controls has become a key point of Trump’s 2024 re-election campaign. He declared a state of emergency during his first presidential term to redirect Pentagon funds toward building a wall on the border with Mexico.
