Great Britain has qualified for the quarter-finals of the United Cup. On this occasion, she will face Poland.

During a press conference, Katie Boulter revealed how she felt and how she anticipated her match against Iga Swiatek.

She said: “I am very happy to have been able to show my best tennis.

Even though I didn’t feel great on the court, I felt better in my first match. You should never underestimate Gadecki, she is a very good player.

I know what she is capable of and also how strong she is going to be. She has a powerful ball strike. I just had to stay ahead, conserve my energy and do everything I could to stop it.

I succeeded, so I am very satisfied with my level today. It is obvious that training is very different from matches. I know the champion Swiatek is. I know she will put all her intensity into every ball and I won’t be able to get away with it.

I can’t wait to fight it out. I have nothing to lose, there is no pressure on us. I don’t see us as favorites. We have nothing to lose, we just have to play and enjoy the moment. »
