During a thrilling clash at Capital One Arena, Jordan Poole delivered a brilliant performance by scoring 30 points, thus leading the Washington Wizards to a convincing 125-107 victory against the Chicago Bulls Wednesday evening.
Poole, who joined Washington from Golden State Warriors before the start of the 2023-24 NBA season, demonstrated his shooting talent by making six three-pointers. This marks the fifth consecutive game in which he has exceeded the 25-point mark, thus achieving a personal milestone in his young career.
The rookie Alex Sarr also made a significant contribution, posting a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, helping the struggling Wizards record their biggest win of the season. In total, seven Wizards players scored double-digit points, highlighting the team’s collective effort.

On the other hand, the Bulls failed to find their rhythm. Zach LaVine led Chicago with a respectable 32 points, returning to the team after missing the previous game with toe soreness. Coby White added 17 points, while Nikola Vucevic contributed with 12 points and 13 rebounds. However, Chicago’s 20 turnovers proved costly, as they trailed the Wizards for most of the game.
For the Bulls, this loss represents a missed opportunity to get closer to a .500 record for only the second time since their loss to Cleveland on November 15. Now at a dismal 15-19 record, Chicagoans hope to find their rhythm in their next eight home games.

The Wizards remain in last place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 6-25, but are starting to show signs of improvement, especially at home, where they have posted a record of 4-6 since the beginning of December.
Washington took control of the game with a decisive 7-0 run early in the fourth quarter, extending their lead to 20 points, their largest of the night. The rookie Kyshawn George started the sequence with a three-pointer, which he finished with a steal and a dunk to make the score 104-84.
The Bulls struggled on three-point shooting, shooting just 29.8 percent (14 of 47), a stark contrast to their 37.2 percent average before the game.
Up next, the Wizards will travel to New Orleans for a face-off on Friday, while the Bulls will host the New York Knicks on Saturday.
