ASIA – It is the worst disaster in the history of South Korea. A Jeju Air plane with 181 people on board crashed and caught fire this Sunday, December 29 when it landed in Muan, 290 kilometers from the capital Seoul. The plane was carrying 175 passengers, including two Thai nationals, and six crew members.
The chances of finding other survivors, in addition to the two crew members extracted from the burning carcass shortly after the crash, diminished as the day progressed, several hours after firefighters brought the flames under control.
As you can see in the video at the top of the articlethe Boeing 737 hit a wall at the end of the runway before being immediately engulfed in flames. Moments earlier he was seen trying to land with smoke coming from the engines. According to the first elements of the investigation, the aircraft struck birds which damaged its engines and caused a malfunction of the landing gear.
