A 63-year-old man lost his life in a fire in his house located in Annemasse in Haute-Savoie. Despite the intervention of emergency services, the victim succumbed to his injuries this Saturday, December 28.

A fire broke out around 12 p.m. this Saturday, December 28 in Annemasse in Haute-Savoie. It was a house consisting of a ground floor and two floors which was affected. The fire started on the ground floor.
Contacted by a passerby, firefighters from the Haute-Savoie Departmental Fire and Rescue Service went to the scene to try to put out the blaze. Upon arrival, firefighters entered the home to extract a 63-year-old man.
Despite their intervention, the sixty-year-old who had inhaled a large quantity of smoke was declared dead by the SMUR doctor. The twenty firefighters engaged on the scene managed to quickly extinguish the fire using a hose, thus preventing the flames from ravaging the entire house.
At this time, the origin of the fire is still unknown. An investigation has been opened to determine precisely the causes of this fire.
