CES 2025, which will take place from Tuesday January 7 to Saturday January 11 in Las Vegas, promises to be particularly rich in announcements.
The tech show, which sets trends for the year to come, has seen years of lows, but the 2025 edition already promises a lot.
From AI… obviously
We obviously cannot ignore the AI subject. As in 2024, most brand press releases will be filled with the words “intelligence”, “artificial” or even “generative” in one way or another. One of the still guaranteed ways to obtain investments and the good eye of shareholders.
Will we find real innovations in the field of AI at CES? Nothing is less certain. Innovation in this area is happening at the pace of OpenAI, Meta or even Google and Microsoft who have no marbles in the Las Vegas show. Devices like the Rabbit R1 or the Human AI Pin which made headlines in January 2024 have already been long forgotten.
This won't stop brands from announcing AI toothbrushes, AI scales, AI vacuum cleaners, AI forks or even AI shelves, but that's probably not what we'll really remember from the show.
Stunning TVs
Televisions are one of the must-haves at CES every year. It must be said that it is an innovation that easily flatters the retina.
At CES 2025, we should discover a new generation of Samsung, LG and Panasonic televisions. One of the trends should be the enlargement of diagonals, with televisions up to 100 inches from LG.

This CES 2025 is the announced battleground between chip giants AMD, Intel, Nvidia and perhaps even Qualcomm. Everyone should be present to present their new generation of high-performance chips.

Intel will take advantage of CES 2025 for the commercial launch of its Arrow Lake range on laptops, these are the Intel Core 200H and 200HX processors.
The most anticipated conference is undoubtedly that of Nvidia. The giant has become the world champion in the field thanks to the AI boom, and is expected to unveil its new generation of GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards.
The response from AMD will come in the form of the Radeon RX 9000 RDNA 4. Above all, AMD should offer what Nvidia cannot yet do: a new all-in-one chip that is both CPU and GPU. Enough to allow the construction of a new generation of PCs and consoles that do not require a dedicated graphics card.
A new generation of PC
Chip announcements are interesting, but what matters for the end user are the devices that will be equipped with them. We expect strong announcements from all the major PC manufacturers: Dell, Asus, Razer, Lenovo, etc.
Some announcements have already been leaked, such as the Dell Pro Max 16 and 18 Plus range, a not very original name for a new range which promises to be very rich in new features.

The new portable consoles
Since the successful launch of the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, a market has developed for portable PC consoles.
At CES 2025, we should begin to discover the 2nd generation of these machines, equipped with a new AMD Ryzen chip and, for the first time, SteamOS.
BMW, Prologium and Xpeng expected around the corner
On the electric car side, CES 2025 promises to be particularly interesting, with several announcements from historic manufacturers. BMW will indeed unveil the screens of its future electric cars based on the Neue Klasse architecture. Nvidia promises us new high-powered GPUs dedicated to cars. For its part, Honda will unveil two new electric cars, based on concepts already seen at CES 2024.
The French from Prologium will also be there to unveil the revolutionary battery demonstrator which recharges in less than 10 minutes and which will be produced in France from 2027.
We should also have some announcements from Xpeng, with flying electric cars, and perhaps also Zeekr. Valeo and Bosch will also be there.
Health at the heart of technology
Year after year, health has become one of the topics of CES. In a country where access to medicine is a privilege, connected health can enable a large part of risk prevention.
With rumors already pointing to a new Galaxy Ring from Samsung in January, we can imagine that competitors will not be left out and will take advantage of CES to do demonstrations.
The Frenchman Withings is also one of the great regulars of the show. In 2024, the brand amazed us with its BeamO thermometer. Obviously, we expect the term “AI” to be sprinkled on all announcements in the health field.
The new standards
CES is also the ideal show for large consortiums to announce new versions of the standards found throughout the industry.
We should, for example, be entitled to the announcement of HDMI 2.2, more than four years after HDMI 2.1. It's difficult to know what this version will offer but we can already imagine an increased bit rate to allow further increases in definition and display frequency. HDR support should also be improved.
In September 2023, Intel unveiled Thunderbolt 5. More than a year later, manufacturers will integrate this technology promising USB-C at 120 Gb/s. Apple has already paved the way with its Mac mini M4 which offers, as an option, a Thunderbolt 5 compatible port. We should also see compatible peripherals, and why not external graphics cards.
