The actress and model Dayle Haddon, very famous in the 1990s for having lent her face to the L'Oréal brand, died this Friday, December 27. She was apparently poisoned during a carbon monoxide leak at her daughter's house.
A tragic ending. This Friday, December 27, actress and model Dayle Haddon was found dead in the house of her daughter and son-in-law, journalist Ryan Haddon and actor Marc Blucas, in Pennsylvania. According to CBS News, Emergency services were called early in the morning to this old house, which was in the process of being renovated. Dayle Haddon, 76, known for being the face of the L'Oréal brand in the 1990s, lay unconscious there. “The first elements of the investigation show that a radiator malfunctioned and leaked a lot of carbon monoxide inside the shed”explained the detective in charge of the case to the press. Another septuagenarian was also in bad shape but, alive, he was taken to hospital.
Dayle Haddon was on the cover of every magazine and appeared in numerous films in the 1970s and 1980s
Dayle Haddon was born in Montreal in 1948. It was to be able to pay for dance studies that she began doing a little modeling in the 1970s. She finally made it her career and posed for the biggest magazines and prestigious brands. At the time, the magazine Harper’s Bazaar had named her among the ten most beautiful women on the planet. Dayle Haddon took advantage of this fame to launch into cinema, starting with the Disney film Nanou, son of the Junglein 1973. She then shot a lot for French-speaking directors. We could see it in Madame Claude et The Last Romantic Loverby Just Jaeckin or in Words and musicby Elie Chouraqui, in 1984.
Dayle Haddon chose to get involved with children at the end of her life
After the death of her husband in 1991, Dayle Haddon decided to return to modeling. That's when she began being the face of various anti-aging skincare brands, first Clairol, then Estée Lauder, and finally L'Oréal. A first for a woman over 40. The model then became involved in humanitarian issues and became, in 2008, an ambassador for Unicef.
