ASVEL, one of the fittest teams in recent weeks of the Euroleague, fell back to Italian team Virtus Bologna. In Italy, just like against Milan at the beginning of December, Villeurbanne suffered a big defeat.
Almost silent at the start of the match, ASVEL never had any influence in Emilia-Romagna. Despite Théo Maledon’s good game (20 points), the Villeurbannais spent this meeting chasing a gap which continued to widen, reaching up to 25 points in the second half.
