WBA Gold Cruiserweight world champion Paul Bamba died on Saturday December 28, just one week after acquiring his world title.
The sad news was announced on Instagram by Ne-Yo, the boxer's agent and representative. Paul Bamba was crowned world champion, with the WBA Gold Cruiserweight belt, only a week ago. A 14th victory by knockout of his career (19 fights, 16 victories and 3 defeats).
« It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, friend and boxing champion Paul Bamba (…) He was a wonderful person who inspired many people with his dynamism and his exceptional determination.” The causes of death have not been explained.
The American notably challenged YouTuber Jake Paul, who recently beat Mike Tyson. The influencer, beaten by Bamba, reacted : “Rest in peace Paul Bamba”.
