Convergence of struggles: petitions for C8, Notre-Dame and Rillette!

Was it a cliché? The petitions have long been left-wing – the Unknowns drew a good sketch from them. Things are changing and citizens on the other side are taking advantage of this means of expressing themselves outside the polls. A look back at three seemingly varied petitions but linked by a common thread: the fight against the arrogance of the institutional iron pot.

C8 vs. Arcom

The fate of C8 seems to have changed: it is not one of the channels renewed on TNT, according to the Arcom press release of December 12. However, the petition for its maintenance has exceeded one million signatories in a little over a month. Unheard of in the memory of the petitioner. This is the most signed text since the creation of the site www.mesopinions.com in 2006. It recalls that the closure of C8 will represent 400 jobs lost, a shame for a channel which is doing very well with more than 9.6 million daily viewers.

Without worrying about either the viewers or the company, Arcom considers it its mission to erase the channel from the French audiovisual landscape – not without having previously bled it dry with fines: the most recent, of 200,000 euros… -, simply because it belongs to the Bolloré group. If you haven't already, sign the petition for C8. Show Arcom, “independent public authority”that you are not fooled by her supposed independence while she gives in to the ambient bollorephobia.

Stained glass windows against bishop

Omnipotence and arrogance again: those, combined, of Emmanuel Macron and Mgr Ulrich, stubborn in their desire to replace the stained glass windows of Notre-Dame de with the contemporary creations of Claire Tabouret. They would replace stained glass windows specifically designed by Viollet-le-Duc for their location and remained intact. The Venice Charter opposes this, as does the National Commission for Architecture and Heritage (CNAP)? The political and episcopal authorities blithely ignore this.

But then… why did sign the Venice Charter and why does a competent commission exist, if we dismiss its opinion with a contemptuous “it's purely advisory”? Launched by Didier Rykner, the boss of The Tribunethe petition for the conservation of existing stained glass windows has exceeded 243,000 signatories in one year. Today, it is stagnating. The end of the year is the time to reinvigorate it to encourage our elites to show restraint when it comes to iconoclasm.

Laie against OFB

On her Facebook page, Elodie, the owner of Rillette, thanked BV for making known the threats weighing on the young sow she took in. The petition in his favor is progressing well. Remember that the Aube public prosecutor's office and the French Biodiversity Office are considering prosecuting Elodie and killing Rillette – the Aube prefecture having passed the case on to them. Another feeling of administrative omnipotence, based on a rigorous reading of article L-424-10 of the Environmental Code – and in defiance of the adage ” the highest right, the highest injury »… And this even though Elodie knows a lot about animals and has set up for Rillette an enclosure suitable for an animal in perfect health and which lives in harmony with the whole family, dogs, cats and ponies included.

Julien Courbet denounced the threat weighing on Rillette. Brigitte Bardot published one of those vigorous letters of which she has the secret: “What are the monsters asking for his euthanasia? The word “human” disgusts me. This little animal has the right to live, it's even a duty – she's innocent! Euthanasia is a crime! We are ruled by assassins! »

They murder a channel, they murder stained glass windows, they want to murder an animal in the name of biodiversity…
