More and more opulence is coming to the core of RSC Anderlecht. Several players are returning and David Hubert will have to make choices in defense.
Jesper Fredberg picked up Ludwig Augustinsson for free from Sevilla FC last summer. A good transfer, as the Swede proved to be an added value last season. The 30-year-old left back has always achieved a rating of 6 or more and stability. But the international was not spared from injuries at the start of the season. Moussa N'Diaye therefore had his chance.
Ludwig Augustinsson
The former FC Barcelona player benefited from the trust of Fredberg, who wanted to keep a young force in reserve for each experienced pawn. N'Diaye has systematically charmed and continues to progress. It was therefore also the moment or never for the Senegalese, because at 22 years old, he is no longer a very young talent.
Offensively, the left back has revealed himself, but defensively, he still has room for improvement. N'Diaye brings speed and rhythm to the game, but the last few weeks have been more difficult. Against Sint-Truiden he had a difficult match and against KRC Genk he saw stars and made a mistake in the 2-0.
N'Diaye was replaced late in the match and the name of Nottingham Forest has already been mentioned. All this is obviously premature. The player still has to take steps and, in the meantime, Augustinsson is fit again.
Moussa N'Diaye
In the last three league matches, N'Diaye was replaced each time by Augustinsson. The latter was a good substitute each time and also performed well as a starter against Slavia Prague. The competition is therefore becoming tough and Hubert is delighted.
The coach will therefore have to make a choice. Will he choose the passion and explosiveness of N'Diaye or the reliability and stability of Augustinsson? Facing Dender, he is the starter again but he knows that someone is ready to take over quickly. A luxury problem for Hubert.
