(CercleFinance.com) – The Paris Stock Exchange concludes the session at its highest of the day, with a gain of 1%, to 7,355 pts, driven by Crédit Agricole (+2.4%), Teleperformance (+2.2%) without forgetting Stellantis (+2.1%).
Due to the confectioners’ truce, volumes were rather restricted throughout the day even if they rose to €2.2 billion during the last minutes of trading.
Over the past week, the Parisian index posted a decline of 0.4%, a contraction which has reached 2.6% since the start of the year.
During this end-of-year holiday season, the bond market is hesitant in a context of poor data, with the yield on ten-year Treasuries stabilizing around 4.58%.
The foreign exchange markets are also very calm, with the euro moving little against the dollar, in the area of $1.0422/E (+0.2%).
In French company news, Voltalia announces the launch of the construction of three new solar parks in the south of France with a total capacity of 25.1 megawatts, including one park with a total power of 10.7 megawatts located on an agricultural wasteland of 15 hectares.
Eramet announces the first production of lithium carbonate from its recently commissioned direct extraction (DLE) plant in Centenario, in the province of Salta in Argentina, three years after the start of its construction.
Finally, Engie announces that it has won, via Ocean Winds, its 50-50 joint venture with EDP Renewables dedicated to offshore wind power, a 250 MW floating project with the Ministry of Industry and Energy, in the framework of the AO6 call for tenders.
