Will you see the sun for the last weekend of 2024? It all depends on where you live. While the northern half of the country will remain under hazy skies while the southern half should benefit from sunnier weather in places and milder temperatures.

Between fog and bright sunshine Saturday
In the north, many cities will wake up on Saturday morning with their heads in fog, such as Lille, Bordeaux and Bourges. In the East and South, the morning will be very sunny. In terms of temperatures, the thermometer will be milder in the South, with 0°C in Amiens and Metz and 10°C in Marseille or even 12°C in Nice.
In the afternoon, the fog will lift but the clouds will remain present in the north. It will be up to 17°C in Marseille, 9°C in Bordeaux and Brest and only 1°C in Strasbourg.
Be careful for people who want to take the road on Saturday evening: freezing rain is forecast around Reims and Auxerre. The fog will return during the night around Bourges and Chaumont, in Haute-Marne.

A cloudier Sunday
The fog will return on Sunday morning inland to the northwest but also to the east as well as Toulouse and Bordeaux. The sky will be cloudy in Cherbourg, Brest but also in Lyon and Biarritz.
The temperatures will be cooler. In the east, the thermometer will drop below 0°C, with -2°C in Belfort in Bourg-Saint-Maurice in Savoie. It will be 0°C in Strasbourg, 5°C in Paris, 7°C in Perpignan and 8°C in Brest.
In the afternoon, fog will persist in many places, such as Toulouse, Bordeaux and Vichy. Only the South-East will enjoy plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will be between 1°C to 15°C, with cooler temperatures in the east of the country: 2°C in Reims, 3°C in Strasbourg and Metz.

The weather forecast for next week is likely to be more eventful, as Météo France specifies: “As we transition between 2024 and 2025 however, the situation will start to change with more low-pressure conditions setting in over the British Isles and potentially eventually influencing the weather in France. »
