If the production prospects in Russia are worrying, with a 2025 harvest projection now announced below 80 Mt by SovEcon (and at the lowest level in four years), the climatic conditions in the country appear rather favorable. The water deficits created at the beginning of autumn have in fact now been completely filled in the main winter wheat production areas, and snow protection now covers a very large part of the territory. The recent melting observed in the south of the country should however be monitored, but temperatures should remain sufficiently mild before a return of snowfall, according to the latest weather maps.
