This Thursday, December 26, The Best Pastry Chef returns to M6 for the semi-finals, and believe us, it's serious. At 9:10 p.m., you will find Timothée, Tsiory, José and Benjamin in a frantic battle to secure their place in the final. The theme of the evening: family recipes. The objective? Get two “tops”!
But this season, The Best Pastry Chef decided to shake everything up with the Clash of Teams: Noëmie and Mohamed, two captains, formed shock teams with pastry chefs from past seasons. Thibaut, Adelina, Jérémy for Noëmie's team. And Cléo, Jérôme, Sandrine for Mohamed’s. Enough to send a high-end pastry chef under the leadership of Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, always there to judge the creations… and destroy them with love. Not forgetting Jeffrey Cagnes, the renowned chef, who will surely blow up some dough jams.
So, what awaits our semi-finalists tonight?
The challenges
1. The family dish revisited
Each contestant must turn their favorite family dish into a dessert. Roast chicken? Gratin? Roast veal? It has to look like a dessert but keep the spirit of the dish. A challenge, obviously.
2. The super strudels
This is the second event, and it will separate the amateurs from the real professionals. You will have to master the dough so that it is as thin as paper. Then, the candidates will have to slip in applesauce, pecans, and a whole bunch of delicacies.
3. The surprise test
Expect tears and tense moments. The pastry chefs will have to make a dessert that has caused them problems in the past. But here's the twist: the contestants' families had their say and chose the most complicated pastry possible. Do you feel the pressure building? Us too.
You will have understood, tonight is emotion, sugar, dough and twists and turns. Who will qualify for the grand final? The answer this evening on M6, and in replay on M6+. Stay there, we don't want you to miss it!
