If there is indeed a group of rock who made a successful return, that’s good Linkin Park ! Since their reformation last August, the group returned to the top with a new singer validated by renowned artists, a new album which is a hit, and a highly anticipated tour for 2025including an exceptional date at Stade de France. Without forgetting their confirmed presence at the next edition of the Hellfestfrom June 19 to 22, 2025.
However, not all historical members are present on stage. Indeed, the legendary guitarist Brad Delson chose to withdraw from performances livewhile continuing to work with the group in the studio. His absence during concerts is compensated by Alex Federwho brilliantly performs the guitar part.
Brad Delson speaks out for the first time
In a recent interview, Brad Delson explained his decision and paid tribute to his replacement:
“Alex is an incredible musician and a great live performer. He brings great value to the show.”
With humor, he added:
“Alex is so attractive that the whole world can’t resist him. Even if I wanted to hold on to him, his charm is like a self-fulfilling prophecy.”
Brad also returned to his decisiontaken before the band reformed:
“We didn’t say, ‘Let’s pick up where we left off.’ It was more: ‘Let’s take what we learned during this break and approach our roles with more lucidity and perspective.’ I really thrive in the studio. I love creating new things. That’s what energizes me personally.”
Finally, the guitarist does not rule out a return to the stage:
“You never know. I don’t have a crystal ball, I can’t say anything with certainty.”
A reflection that leaves the door open to all possibilities, to the greatest pleasure of fans.
