He was to take Etiopian-Airlines flight ET 852 to Dubai, via Addis Ababa, with a diplomatic bag as luggage. The man had presented official documents, but after checking, customs officials discovered that they were real papers.
The inspectors established that these illegally obtained official documents had been initialed by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
