It's unbelievable what's happening to Manchester City for 57 days now. On the occasion of today's Boxing Day in the Premier League, however, Guardiola's team first took the lead with Bernardo Silva's goal, only to be caught up in the 36th minute by Ndiaye. At the final whistle the curtain falls at the Etihad Stadium and Everton can return home with a very heavy point taken away for the final 1-1, while the hosts once again end up in low spirits.
They are 3 points away from fourth place Forest (soon to be playing against Tottenham), while to hope to catch up with league leaders Liverpool they currently need 11 points. The flop of the citizens the season began last October 30th, when Tottenham kicked Guardiola and co out of the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
With the advent of various serious injuries – Rodri above all -, however, the slow and inexorable decline of the English champion team is finding no end. But at least after 3 defeats in a row City still avoids a bad fall, but a victory has now been missing for 22 days.
