Charles Leclerc's 2024 was a year to remember with 3 victories to his credit, two of which were indelible in the hearts of Ferrari fans and beyond. Retracing the steps of the season just ended, the redhead knows that in 2025 it will have to give a super-competitive single-seater to the Monegasque.
If Charles Leclerc's 2024 were to be a film it would certainly be “Mission: Impossible” where, instead of Tom Cruise, the Monegasque tried to take all the weight of Ferrari on his shoulders to take it to glory. However, his season did not end like the American actor's films, unfortunately McLaren took the victory in Abu Dhabi and won the constructors' title.
“Through highs and lows, but the highs are so beautiful”
In such a competitive and heated season, the phrase pronounced in the famous radio team after the feat in Monza fully represents Charles Leclerc's 2024. In the pre-season tests the number 16 had impressed in the long runs due to the low degradation of the compound on the SF24, but unfortunately the first part of the season had only the Dutch flag as the winner. However, Ferrari seemed competitive from the start and ready to attack Red Bull at least in the constructors' championship.
From Imola to Spa, the red car had peaks of competitiveness but also fell into extreme disappointments. This year the Imola GP was the watershed in a season that had a lot to tell, we went from Verstappen's absolute domination to always very close races. In this swing of performances Leclerc found glory in Monaco but lost points in Barcelona, Montreal and Silverstone, perhaps it was in these races that Ferrari lost the chance to win the title.
The numbers speak for themselves, in all the races he completed, Charles always finished in the top 5. This constancy and consistency are also the perfect emblem of the victories in Austin and, above all, in Monza where he showed great quality in managing the compounds despite their number of revs.

To conclude, Ferrari is called upon to respond to the needs of Charles who, in his 6th year at Ferrari, will certainly want the chance to compete for the title. With these premises, Lewis Hamilton knows that he will never be enormously dominant compared to the Monegasque, so he promises a fiery 2025 in Maranello.
