It's Fantic, the new Fantic, and it's Dakar, in the new version of Fantic, updated and implemented. Three Fantic Now Fantic is doubling down, and will be at the start of the 2025 Dakar Rally with seven bikes, official and assisted. The line-up made up of the three factory drivers is confirmed, but the Rally Raid program is expanded with the “grafting” of four more experienced drivers, “satellite” drivers, but who will be an integral part under the Fantic tents at the Dakar bivouac.
Lhe new formation made its debut in October at the Morocco Rally, a dress rehearsal for the great marathon which will start on January 3rd from Bisha in the south-east of Saudi Arabia and end on January 17th in Shubaytah, the gateway to the boundless desert of 'Empty Quarter which this time will mark the end of the adventure. Twelve stages in addition to the prologue, 7,706 kilometers covered of which 5,146 are special stages.
At the disposal of Mister… Franco Piccoto begin with, the initial duo composed of Tommaso Montanariin his third Dakar, and from the French Jeremy Mirror, 31st overall on debut in 2024, 19th in Rally2, third best rookie in 2024 and winner of the Dakar fairplay award. The Spaniard shows up at the start of her third Dakar ready to improve in order to aim to win the women's category.
PAs regards the program of “satellite” riders, who will benefit from the motorbikes and assistance of the Fantic team, four riders will be at the start. Mohammed Al Balooshimultiple motocross champion and highly experienced rider, the first Emirati rider to participate in the Dakar again in 2012, Al Balooshi will be at the start of his seventh Dakar riding a Fantic XEF 450 Rally. Tomas De Gavardothe son of the unforgettable Carlo, 3rd in the 2001 Dakar behind Fabrizio Meoni and Jordi Arcarons, and Rally-Raid World Champion. Tomas will start his third Dakar after an excellent 33rd place in Rally2 in 2023, 39th overall and P25 in his category in 2024. Together with Al Balooshi and De Gavardo, the Lebanese Rafic Eid Bassamsecond in the FIM Baja Veterans World Championship, and the Frenchman Maxime Pouponnot.
