After the evening Mass on Christmas Eve and the inauguration rite of the Jubilee presided over by Pope Francis, “Notes of Christmas – Jubilee Special” will be broadcast on Rai1, an event hosted by Eleonora Daniele with the voices of artists such as Giovanni Allevi, Claudio Baglioni, Andrea Bocelli, the choir of the Cappella Giulia of St. Peter's Basilica, the violinist Anastasiya Petryshak and the dance steps of Roberto Bolle on a journey that becomes a metaphor for approaching the Holy Door. The first event of the Jubilee year, it was designed as a moment of union.

«Christmas is a universal celebration that unites everyone in a moment of reflection, gratitude and hope. Never like this year will the eyes of the world, on Christmas night, be focused on St. Peter's Basilica”, declared Father Enzo Fortunato, director of Communications of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. «The Notes of Christmas is intended to be the continuation of the joy that Pope Francis gives to the Church at the opening of the ordinary Jubilee. Thanks to the artistic talents of the women and men of our time we are able to rejoice in this important event for the Universal Church.” And again: “The Jubilee – concludes Father Enzo – is a moment to focus attention on humanity because the Church is a merciful and welcoming mother to everyone and especially to the least”.
