A very expert referee, symptomatic of the importance of a match which will pit two teams against each other who will seek the victory at all costs. The rossoblù play, they collect something, but the attack has in fact become a sort of chimera that does not exploit what is produced by the team's system. Davide Nicola looks at the third last place with concern, but shows confidence, after all it is not the first time he has found himself having to manage dangerous water situations. Waters that could become muddy, and keep his team in the slums if they don't find goals and, above all, victories. The one in Venice brings to mind not exactly happy memories: in 2022, in fact, after a bloody 0-0 draw, Cagliari found Serie B, something that Nicola did not want to talk about with the team, focusing exclusively on how to have the better on Di Francesco, for whom another defeat could prove fatal for his bench.

In attack there will still be Piccoli, the team's striker with 4 goals, but who is unable to find a certain continuity, also due to the absence of a real killer instinct which leads him to be one of the attackers who makes the most mistakes in front of goal. But with Pavoletti unable to last ninety minutes, the Piedmontese coach will have to make a virtue of necessity while waiting for the January transfer window. Behind the former Lecce player is a trio with Zortea as the only certain player in the starting shirt. The other two places are contested by Gaetano-Viola in the center, and Augello-Felici in the other. In midfield it is difficult to give up Marin's dynamism and technique, with Makoumobu and Adopo competing for the place alongside the Romanian.
