Sofia Goggia it's always her. But still Lindsey Vonnwho at 40 years old, and after more than five years without competing, almost reached the top 10 upon returning, and placed fourteenth.

Il super-G in St. Moritz it was big names, almost the effect of a magnificent time machine. Third race after returning from the serious accident on February 5th, and third podium for Sofia, an increasingly star of the white circus. The Bergamo native reached the podium with her career number 57, achieving a good third place (1.15.51). The victory went to the Austrian Cornelia Huetterahead of the never tamed Lara Gut-Behrami, with the very competitive Italians occupying every position in the rankings up to sixth in line – after Goggia, Elena Curtoni, Federica Brignone and Laura Pirovano.

“This is always a super-G to interpret, with many bumps, blind spots, very rough terrain – commented Goggia at the end of the race –. I didn't ski very well and I felt more tense than last week. It wasn't easy to understand the snow condition: I skied fast only at times, in spurts. Three podiums in three races is absolutely not bad: clearly I know that compared to how I skied today there is still some margin. But it's okay, not always all the donuts they come out with hole”, concluded the Italian, always very demanding of herself and very ready for today's race (another super-G, 11am, live on RaiSport and Eurosport). “I'm very satisfied. And I feel very good – said the legend Lindsey –. I was thinking above all about completing the race, without forcing it, but tomorrow (today, ed.) will be different and I will attack”. Worth noting is Curtoni's fourth place, which just a year ago fell disastrously onto the Corviglia.

Among the men, however, success number 40 in his career and third of the season for the Swiss Marco Odermatt who clearly imposed himself (2.03.10) also in the descent of Val Gardena on the Saslong, thus returning to the overall lead in the Cup. Second to his young compatriot Franjo von Allmen in 2.03.55 and third, with the American Ryan Cochran-Siegle just one hundredth behind. Also in this race the best Italian was the Piedmontese Casse, 14th, winner on Friday in super-G. Dominik instead finished 25th. Now the Dolomite stage passes to nearby Val Badia: today a giant on the Gran Risa (9.45 and 13.15, live on RaiSport and Eurosport) with Luca De Aliprandini aiming to return to the podium.
