Another great night recently completed for the NBAwith only three games dispute for the regular season 2024-2025 where there was no shortage of entertainment: so let's go for a short one recap of what happened overseas.
I Philadelphia 76ers (9-16) respected the home court by beating the Charlotte Hornets (7-21) 108-98. The home team shifts into high gear right from the start (26-11), with Charlotte struggling to contain the 76ers' attack, slipping to -18 after 12' (41-23). In the second quarter Philadelphia continues to impose its pace (47-32), maintaining a margin of twelve points at half time (58-46). In the second half the advantage increased, even reaching +20 (73-53), with the guests trying to react without however managing to get close enough to worry their opponents (85-71). In the last quarter the 76ers suffered a slight decline and Charlotte took advantage of it to climb back up to -4 (91-87), with the Pennsylvania franchise keeping its nerve and winning 108-98. Joel Embiid touches the double double with 34 points and 9 assistswith 23 points from Tyrese Maxey – 20 points from LaMelo Ball among the Hornets.
They also win in front of the friendly public Cleveland Cavaliers (24-4) prevailing over the Milwaukee Bucks (14-12) for 124-101. Balanced start to the match, with Cleveland managing to find a mini-partial of 5-0 to reach the double-digit lead at the first siren (29-20). In the second quarter the Cavaliers increase the intensity and break away in the score (62-42), with the Bucks trying to react but find themselves at -18 before returning to the locker room (69-51). In the second half the Ohio team pressed the accelerator again without giving their opponents the chance to respond (103-76), then constantly updating their maximum advantage in the final half up to +36 (115-79). With the success now in their pocket, the Cavaliers play with the clock, with Milwaukee trying to limit the damage as much as possible for the 124-101 with which the challenge ends. 27 points by Donovan Mitchell and 15 evenly split between Evan Mobley and Dean Wade, with 33 points and 14 rebounds Of Giannis Antetokounmpo per i Bucks.
External affirmation of Oklahoma City Thunder (22-5) over the Miami Heat (13-12) by 97-104. The start of the match was favorable to the guests, who after having tied the scores (14-14) attempted a small escape at the end of the first quarter (25-30). Miami doesn't agree, they roll up their sleeves and shorten the gap by putting pressure on -1 (36-37), with Oklahoma City finding fluidity in attack and putting full possession between themselves and their opponents at the second siren (47-50). In the second half the Heat have an impact on the score and also put the arrow (61-58), with the Thunder not having it and dragged by Gilgeous-Alexander they fly to +11 at the last short break of the match (70-81). In the decisive part the guests continue to maintain a reassuring margin over the 2022 vice-champions who use up their remaining energy to try to overturn the inertia of the match, but Oklahoma City does not give in and wins with a score of 97-104. Jalen Williams drags his with 33 pointslike Shai Gilgeous-Alexander author of 25 points and 7 assists – 28 points and 12 rebounds by Tyler Herro and 17 points with 19 rebounds from Bam Adebayo are not enough Miami to avoid the knockout.
