Red Bull has promoted its junior driver Isack Hadjar to partner Yuki Tsunoda in Red Bull’s RB team for next season. The 20-year-old Frenchman takes the place vacated by Liam Lawson after the New Zealander was promoted to replace Sergio Perez alongside four-time Red Bull world champion Max Verstappen for the 2025 World Championship. “It’s a great satisfaction for me, for my family and for all the people who believed in me from the beginning”, commented Hadjar.

Born and raised in to an Algerian family, Hadjar impressed Red Bull managers after finishing second in this year’s Formula 2 championship. “The journey from karts to single-seaters, up to Formula 1, is the moment I have worked for all my life: it is my dream”, added the French-Algerian driver.

Laurent Mekies, team principal of Racing Bulls, for his part said that “we are thrilled to have Isack with us next year, who will bring a new and fresh dynamic to the team together with Yuki. He has the talent and drive needed to compete at the highest level and we are confident he will adapt quickly and have a significant impact.”
