LA GAZZETTA DELL’SPORT
The Gazzetta dello Sporta sports newspaper founded on 3 April 1896 by Eugenio Camillo Costamagna and Eliso Rivera, is one of the largest newspapers in Italy and the best-selling sports newspaper, but also the longest-running in Europe. It is currently directed by Stefano Barigelli and the publisher is RcsMediaGroup, while the headquarters of the national edition is in Milan. There is also La Gazzetta dello Sport Rome edition for Rome and Lazio, La Gazzetta dello Sport Puglia edition for Puglia and Basilicata, and La Gazzetta dello Sport Sicily edition for Sicily and Calabria.
COURIER OF SPORT
Il Corriere dello Sportfounded on 20 October 1924 by Alberto Masprone, is the most read newspaper in central and southern Italy, while it is only the fourth if we take all newspapers into consideration. The publisher is Amodei and its name became Corriere dello Sport – Stadio in 1977, when it incorporated the Bolognese newspaper Stadio. The Florence edition has a page dedicated to Fiorentina news.
ALLSPORT
Tuttosportfounded on 30 July 1945 by Renato Casalbore, is the third sports newspaper sold in Italy. It is currently directed by Paolo De Paola and the publisher in this case too is the Amodei Group. The headquarters is unique and is in Turin. The newspaper gives ample space to Juventus and Turin, but the great feature of this newspaper is in the transfer market news, with the continuous updating of the negotiations, a setting that has often been the subject of criticism.
