Celine Dion shares a dedication to her husband on Instagram René Angélil on the day of 30th anniversary of their wedding. Accompanying it is a black and white photo portraying the couple on their wedding day, celebrated on 17 December 1994.

In the image, Celine wears a wedding dress decorated with lace and elaborate details, with a long veil and a headpiece adorned with pearls and crystals, while René appears in a classic black tuxedo.

Celine Dion writes: “You continue to fill our hearts, every day. You are everything to us. We miss you so much. Happy 30th anniversary, mon amour!”. The dedication is signed not only by Celine but also by their children, René-Charles, Eddy and Nelson.

René Angélil passed away on January 14, 2016 due to throat cancer. The couple had three children: René-Charles, born in 2001, and twins Eddy and Nelson, born in 2010.

Celine Dion and the disease: “I have to learn to live with it”

In recent years, Celine Dion was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, the stiff person syndromewhich causes muscle stiffness, painful spasms and difficulty moving. In an interview with Today Show of NBC, the singer said she had had the first symptoms already in 2007, during the Taking Chances World Tour: “I started to feel my body becoming more rigid. I didn’t know what was happening. As I performed I began to sing more nasally, I no longer had a voice.”

Today, at 56, the singer continues to undergo physical and vocal therapies five days a week: “I have to take it one day at a time. I haven’t beaten the disease and I probably never will, but I’m hoping for a miracle. Until then , I have to learn to live with it“, he said in an interview with Vogue.

Last August, the singer returned to the stage at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, playing The Hymn to Love on Edith Piaf.
