Atalanta immediately sets the record straight and scores 4 goals against Cesena in 35 minutes. In the 4th minute Zappacosta broke the deadlock with a precise diagonal shot inside the penalty area while four minutes later De Ketelaere took advantage of Retegui’s assist. In the 27th minute, things were complicated by bad luck for Cesena as Samardzic’s shot was deflected and went behind Pisseri. In the 35th minute, De Ketelaere scored twice after a great move by the Nerazzurri. In the second half Gasperini manages and extends first in the 54th minute with Brescianini’s goal and then with Samardzic’s double in the 71st minute after a counterattack managed perfectly by Zaniolo. For Cesena the only joy of the evening was Ceesay’s goal which set the result at 6-1.
