The anger of the sister of Reeva Steenkamp, Pistorius’ ex-wife who was shot dead on Valentine’s Day 2013: «The new girlfriend looks a lot like her. How can she fall asleep next to a man like that?”
It’s news from a few days ago, launched by the South African newspaper Network24, of the new love of Oscar Pistorius, who today lives in a “fortified” villa in Pretoria owned by his uncle Arnold. The former Paralympic champion, 38 years old, he has been dating Rita Greyling for three monthssuccessful business consultant and longtime family friend. The new flame looks a lot like Reeva SteenkampPistorius’ ex, shot dead on Valentine’s Day 2013. Reeva’s mother has already warned Pistorius’ new partner, claiming that her daughter’s killer still has «anger problems».
The resemblance that shocks the ex-wife’s sister
She also intervened on the issue Simone Steenkamp, Reeva’s sisteras reported by the Daily Mail: «Is he so sick that he wants to find a lookalike? I wonder: after killing Reeva, did he want to replace her with someone else? But is she (Ria, ed.) crazy? I wonder how a woman can close her eyes at night and go to sleep with a man, knowing that he shot four bullets at his wife.», his words. And again: «I look at the photographs of this woman and at this moment I get shivers and goosebumps. What shocks me is that she looks so much like my Reeva. He has the same build, the same face and the same hair, even the same eyes.”
The warning: «Pistorius could kill again»
The anger of the Steenkamp family does not subside: “This proves even more that he has no remorse for what he did to Reeva. My sister found Oscar totally charming at first, but then he happens to change and become more domineering. Reeva wanted to leave but Oscar didn’t let her. I will always be convinced that that night she ended the relationship and he lost all control. If he couldn’t have her, no one could have her. For this reason he took the gun and shot her. He killed her.”
Finally, a warning to Pistorius’ new partner: «I have nothing against her, but I will warn her to sleep with one eye open. He might repeat what he did to Reeva. He will always have anger issues and I can understand that to some extent, having had such a rough childhood. His legs were amputated at birth and his mother died when he was 15. His father didn’t make it and he went to live with his uncle. So, life has been hard for him and I understand that, but unfortunately the anger inside him boiled over and led to a murder.”
