Mykhailo Mudryk tested positive in a doping test and now the Chelsea player risks a long suspension.
Mykhailo Mudryk it turned out tested positive at an anti-doping test and now the player of the Chelsea risks a long ban. According to what was reported in recent hours by the English and Ukrainian media, the footballer would have taken a prohibited substance which was found in a check carried out last October.
The Ukrainian footballer, who arrived at Chelsea almost two years ago for 70 million euros plus another 30 in bonuses (a record for Ukrainian Football), could find himself facing a long disqualification if everything were to be confirmed. Meanwhile, Mudryk has been suspended, pending the results of the B sample, by the Football Association: i Blues they support the player and the number 10 himself is collaborating with the authorities.
Mudryk faces a four-year ban
The Ukrainian footballer tested positive in a test carried out at the end of October on sample “A” and now we will have to wait a few more days to open sample “B”: after which it will be clarified whether the Ukraine and Chelsea winger will be disqualified and, if so, for how long. It should be remembered that the player has not been on the pitch since December 1st, when he played against Aston Villa, and was never used for the next four matches.

Officially he was not used due to a viral infection and Enzo Maresca said he would not be available against Tottenham either: “In general, only Misha Mudryk is still out. The rest of the team is fine.” There have been no further updates since then.
If the second champion confirmed the result of the first, the Ukrainian footballer could now face a four-year ban and this possibility was revealed by journalist Volodymyr Zverov: “I talked a lot with representatives of the Ukrainian anti-doping agencies. They explained to me a little about how everything would be handled.”
Four years is the maximum disqualification that Mudryk could receive but he could then appeal and evaluate parallel actions to be able to reduce the sanction, if his partial innocence were recognized, as happened with Paul Pogba.
Mudryk: “I know I didn’t do anything wrong”
On social media Mykhailo Mudryk confirmed his positive test.
I can confirm that I have been informed that a sample I supplied to the FA contained a banned substance. This was a total shock, as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules and I am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened. I know I haven’t done anything wrong and I continue to hope to be back on the pitch soon. I can’t say anything more now due to the confidentiality of the process, but I will do so as soon as possible.
